Respond to the takeover warning and drive the vehicle yourself. Do not keep the assistance feature engaged to reproduce a suspected fault. The R2 owner guide makes the driver responsible for supervision and describes situations where driver-assistance features may not behave as expected.
A repeated warning at one location is useful evidence, but it does not establish that a map error is the cause. A service report should include the exact message, approximate timestamp and time zone, road segment and direction, software version, engaged assistance feature, weather and visibility. Send precise location details privately to Rivian rather than posting a home-route trace publicly.
If a passenger can safely record the message, include that evidence; the driver should not handle a phone to capture it. Describe what happened on the trips already completed instead of making a special trip to provoke another takeover.
Submit through Rivian’s app/service channel and distinguish the observed alert from any suspected explanation. Navigation feedback can describe a location problem, but a driver-assistance concern also deserves a clearly identified service request.
