Official distinction: the score concerns charging reliability. Rivian describes Charging Score as using vehicle plug-in data to assess a site and inform routing. That is useful evidence about the charging experience; it is not a reservation for an individual space. Rivian source
Separate reliability, present availability and access. A well-performing site can have a queue. An apparently empty site can be behind a closed gate. A location with several stalls may also have fewer usable options for a particular vehicle or trailer. No single score resolves all those questions.
For a local charging routine, visit at the time you would actually use it and compare that observation with the app’s status. Record whether a problem was waiting for a space, starting a session or sustaining charging. Those distinctions make local advice useful without turning one frustrating visit into a permanent judgment of the whole site.
Next step: choose a primary location using reliability information, then confirm access and present status before departing. Keep another reachable site available. If sharing a local note, date it and describe what happened; do not report an occupied stall as broken simply because it was unavailable to you.
